The Tsar's Saloon

Tsar’s Saloon A2 was ordered from Germany and built according to a standard “Prince Car” design, with the interior furbished according to precise instructions. The walls and furniture are upholstered in green goatskin, the ceiling lined with silk, the curtains are made of green silk and all visible woodwork is American walnut.

A side corridor enabled the servant staff and railway personnel to bypass the Tsar’s saloon and smaller private compartment - the two compartments. The saloon compartment furniture includes sofa, writing table, armchairs and wash table. A lavatory is situated at both ends of the vehicle.
