Introduction tour – Welcome to the Railway Museum
Start your visit with a short orientation in the museum lobby. During the Introduction Tour, the guide presents a detailed miniature model of the museum area and shares the history of the Finnish Railway Museum and the surrounding railway environment.
This tour provides an overview of the museum’s exhibitions and helps visitors begin their visit with useful context.
The Introduction Tour is especially recommended for self-guided groups at the beginning of their visit.

Journey through time – guided tour of the main exhibition
This guided tour takes visitors on a journey through the history of the railways in Finland.
Explore the museum’s large exhibition halls and discover fascinating objects, stories, and milestones that shaped railway travel from its earliest days to the present.
The tour focuses on the highlights of the museum’s main exhibition. Other exhibition spaces, including the locomotive shed and the station, can be explored independently after the tour.
