Tsarina's saloon

Tsarina’s Saloon A6 was refurbished from a ready-built passenger coach at a carriage works in Berlin. External modifications were minimal, except the open balconies were enclosed. The bodywork was painted in dark blue livery with golden crests. Internally the carriage walls were lined in blue silk to match the furniture.

The Tsarina’s Saloon had a drape that hung from the ceiling, a sofa, writing bureau, dressing table, wash table, armchair and small round table. A lavatory was situated at one end of the vehicle adjacent to the wash table, while a small compartment at the other end was presumably a berth for a maid. There was a servants' corridor beside the saloon.
